Eurimages supports 13 European co-productions

    Strasbourg, 28.09.2009 - At its 116th meeting, held from 22 to 25 September 2009 in Strasbourg, the Board of Management of the Council of Europe's Eurimages Fund agreed to support the co-production of 13 feature films for a total amount of 5 140 000 Euros:

Within the framework of the Theatres Support scheme, the Board of Management decided to integrate in the network the theatre: Koaecli Ncity Sinemalari (Izmit, Turkey). The Eurimages/EUROPA CINEMAS network comprises 35 theatres in the following countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, “the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia” and Turkey.

The Board of Management has set the meeting dates for 2010. The deadlines for submission of applications for support will be the following:

    - 7 December 2009

    - 22 March 2010

    - 28 June 2010

    - 4 October 2010

EURIMAGES is a support fund for the co-production, distribution and exhibition of European cinematographic works, established by the Council of Europe in 1988 1 (E-mail: Eurimages@coe.int – Web: http://www.coe.int/Eurimages).

Since its establishment in 1988, EURIMAGES has supported 1279 European co-productions for a total amount of approximately 380 million Euros.
