15th Congress plenary session – 27-29 May 2008
Congress to respect gender balance
[21/05/2008] The new national delegations sitting in the Congress must include a minimum of 30% of women in each delegation. According to the new Congress’ Charter, adopted by the Committee of Ministers in May 2007, the Congress is the first elected political assembly to establish a 30-per cent minimum gender representation as a condition for membership. All delegations have met this requirement.
