on the Enlarged Agreement on the European Commission
for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission)
2009 Budget

(Adopted by the Committee of Ministers on 25 November 2008
at the 1042nd meeting of the Ministers’ Deputies)

The Committee of Ministers, under the terms of Article 16 of the Statute of the Council of Europe,

Having regard to Resolution (90) 6 of 10 May 1990 setting up a Partial Agreement on the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission);

Having regard to Resolution Res(2002)3 of 21 February 2002 transforming the statute of the Partial Agreement on the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) into an Enlarged Agreement;

Having regard to Articles 19, 21 and 28 of the Financial Regulations;

Having regard to Resolution CM/Res(2008)42 of 25 November 2008 fixing the scale of contributions of member states to the Enlarged Agreement on the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission);

Having regard to the draft Budget for 2009 submitted by the Secretary General (document CM(2008)130 vol3);

Having regard to the Budget Committee's report of 18 September 2008 (document CM(2008)132),

Resolves as follows:

1. The budget of expenditure for 2009, totalling €3 359 400 and divided into heads and sub-heads according to Table A appended hereto and the budget of receipts totalling €3 359 400 according to Table B appended hereto are hereby approved.

2. Approval is hereby given to the apportionment, among the States members of the Enlarged Agreement on the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission), of the contributions for 2009, totalling €3 354 800 according to Table C appended hereto.

NB : Rates of contribution for 2009 have been calculated on the basis of Resolution (94) 31.
