CM(2000)7 corrigendum 19 January 2000



 

1. The Secretary General herewith submits to the Committee of Ministers, for approval, the 109th report of the Co-ordinating Committee on Remuneration (CCR/R(99)12).

2. The Co-ordinating Committee recommends that the Committee of Ministers approve, with effect at 1 January 2000, the new rates of the daily subsistence allowance set out in the tables attached to the report, noting that the rates expressed in US dollars for Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Moldova, Poland, Romania, the Russian Federation, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, "the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia", Ukraine and also those for Turkey correspond to those in force in the United Nations system in September 1999.

3. The budgetary impact of the adjustment will be covered by the appropriations already approved for official journeys in the 2000 budgets.

ALLOWANCE FOR STAFF OF THE CO-ORDINATED ORGANISATIONS

 

109th REPORT

 

 

I - Introduction

1. Councils of the Co-ordinated Organisations approved the recommendation by the Co-ordinating Committee on Remuneration contained in its 50th Report [CCR/R(95)3] on rules for calculating daily rates of subsistence allowance.

II - Proposal

2. In accordance with these rules, the Secretaries-General have proposed the annual review of the rates of these allowances as from 1st January 2000. Furthermore, they proposed that the reference to rates published by the United Nations in US dollars be maintained for new member countries of the Co-ordinated Organisations and also for Turkey.

III - Recommendation

3. The Co-ordinating Committee on Remuneration invites the Councils of the Co-ordinated Organisations to approve, with effect from 1st January 2000, the new rates of the daily subsistence allowance set out in the tables annexed hereto, noting that the rates expressed in US dollars for Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Ukraine and also those for Turkey correspond to those in force in the United Nations system in September 1999.
