OF THE COMMITTEE OF MINISTERS TO MEMBER STATES
REGULATING THE USE OF PERSONAL DATA IN THE POLICE SECTOR
Modification to the reservation made by Ireland
The Representative of Ireland made the following statement:
"When the above-mentioned Recommendation was adopted we made a general reservation.
As a result of new data protection and freedom of information legislation and Ireland's accession to the EUROPOL Convention and its Protocols, I am instructed to notify you that my Government hereby wishes to limit the reservation made at that time to three of the provisions thereof, namely principle 2.2, principle 2.3 and principle 2.4. This information has been forwarded to the Secretariat in writing."
